This week’s Reader has a odd and interesting review of Diane Ravitch’s book, The Death and Life of the Great American School System, which, as I mentioned once before, has made quite a splash and raised quite a ruckus in Educational Policy and political circles.
Check out the review here. I wouldn’t say it’s entirely successful–I’m not really sure what happens at the end of it, but it is pretty interesting, me thinks.
Or, just go buy the book and put it on your shelf for bringing to the beach this summer.
