Ongoing: Registration for the Spring semester opens this week. Schedules should be available any day now…Also, this week is ASSESSMENT WEEK! We’ll be assessing Social Science general education knowledge across the curriculum all week. Contact Mike Heathfield or your department assessment committee member with any lingering questions.
Monday, 11/8: Ric Burns, director of We Shall Remain! discusses his film as part of American Indian Heritage Month. A reception will follow his presentation (12:30pm, rm 102). Also, visiting artist James Woodfill will be lecturing (1pm, rm 103).
Tuesday, 11/9: Stop up in 1115 to say hello to some of our retired faculty who will be visiting the Friends of HWC meeting (11am, rm 1115). Then head to the screening of Dance Me Outside (part of the AIHM festivities, 11am, rm 622). The Employee of the Month ceremony is in room 1115 at 3:30 and HW Faculty Council will hold its November meeting, seating its new members and electing new officers (3:30pm, rm 1046).
Wednesday, 11/10: Check out this year’s Transfer Fair (10am-2pm, rm 102-103).
Thursday, 11/11 (Veteran’s Day): Thank a vet today. Also, check out “The Business of Fancy Dancing” (part of the AIHM festivities, 10am, rm 203). Attend the CAST Meeting, (2pm, rm 1046).
