ReinQuestion? appears every Thursday and is an open thread for members of the HW and CCC community to post questions about the ongoing Reinvention. Any and all questions are invited, and anyone who knows an answer to any question posted is encouraged to answer it in the threads below.
No bites on last week’s version. Maybe somebody has a question this week? For them or for us (your Faculty Council)?
Does anyone know if the folks on the Reinvention team are able to respond to emails? I have emailed one member several times and have not heard back from her (in the past she was immediately responsive). Is it possible that the members have gone radio silent?
I know that they had to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Hello everyone!
We over at district have not yet been swallowed up or sent into exile. We’ve just been super busy trying to get organized, get used to each other and go through endless training sessions.
We talked about the confidentiality agreement yesterday, and it turns out that we are allowed and even encouraged to talk about what we are doing and how our work is coming together. What they really want us to keep confidential are all the details of our conversations – if someone mentions we should look into replacing all faculty with robots, and that’s something that’s definitely not going to happen, then they don’t want to rumor mill to start up again. I thought that that seemed reasonable.
I’m not sure what the other task forces are doing, but I know that my group will be looking to the lounge for feedback, and I will absolutely try to answer any questions that I can, so please, keep them coming!
And, hey – don’t forget about us! We’ll be back in 15 weeks to pass the torch on to the next group of reinventors.
Hi Voice From The Reinvention,
Can you ask the folks running the Reinvention Blog on blogger.com if they can remove the profile requirement so we can post comments.
I’d like to Talk 2 U 2!
Realist, a comment posted now would show up (after the moderator approves) sometime in March. Not that I timed it or anything.
The reinvention is more than televised, yet people feel like they are without a signal (or connection) and I am glad the voice could help with that. My question is, “What now?”
Because unlike the link to the weather station atop
HWC, we have not been gone since November.
I’ve got a few question for our faculty council:
What is our relationship with the Reinvention Team (RT)? Does a member of the RT contact our local president? Does our district-wide president communicate with the RT?
If RT has not contacted FC, do we plan on getting in touch with them?
Am I being to idealistic or does it make sense to have this relationship in place?
It would be a shame for Amanda’s words to go to waste.
