Welcome to Week 6! It’s hard to believe, but at the end of this week the semester will be 40% over. And what a week it’s going to be, even though it’s a(nother) short one—a local election of potentially enormous consequences and I’m told that we may get a hyper-local (HW) announcement of significance later this week. Monday, 2/21: No classes–Closed for President’s Day.
Tuesday, 2/22: HWFC hosts members of the Professional Development Reinvention Task Force to discuss their work, faculty ideas, and everything else that comes up (3:30-5p, rm 103); VOTE and encourage your students to do the same!
Wednesday, 2/23: BHM Vendor Fair (7a-8p, rm 102/103); UIUC Info Session (2-3:30p, rm 317).
Thursday, 2/24: Financial Aid Awareness Day (10a-5p, rm 408); BHM Vendor Fair (7a-8p, rm 102/103); Ramon Price Art Contest, (11a-4p, rm 102/103; Admissions Essay Workshop (2-4p, rm 1115).
Friday, 2/25: BHM Vendor Fair (7a-8p, rm 102/103); Bardwell Scholars Luncheon (12p, rm 1115); Be sure to turn in your “Outside Employment Form” if you haven’t already (click HERE, type in your info, print it out and drop or fax it to the HR office by the close of business).
