ReinQuestion? appears every Thursday and is an open thread for members of the HW and CCC community to post questions about the ongoing Reinvention. Any and all questions are invited, and anyone who knows an answer to any question posted is encouraged to answer it in the threads below.
Well, after a big flurry of activity last week and some rather positive reports out of our HW Task Force members, there was but one question last week (from our Distinguished Professor of the Stacks, Sherry Ledbetter):
When will the recommendations be posted and will the rest of us have an opportunity to respond or, at least, edit the data collected?
And I don’t even have to send that one out. Rosie told us yesterday at the HWFC meeting that Friday, April 29th is the big reveal to FC Presidents, at least (and I think Chairs, too, but I might be wrong on that). Circle the date on your calendar. I am expecting that we will have some hard news then. I don’t know how open the process will be at that point to revisions and commentary–hopefully there will be some sort of opportunity for discussion and constructive feedback before final approval–but we should have something to talk about before May hits.
Anything else out there?

Well I’m certainly glad I read this post on the lounge. We lowly task force members have not even been told about this yet…who’s doing the revealing? Will task force members get to be there to address any FC concerns? Your guess is as good as mine.
Happy Spring Break everyone!!
Happy Spring Break to you too!!!
We are still waiting on some details to be determined, but the date was agreed upon at the last executive committee meeting. My understanding is that representatives from the task forces (perhaps not all) will be there to address fc concerns, and we fc presidents are expecting summations in advance of the meeting. So, . . .I’ll pass on the details when I get more of them, but my guess is that even though you didn’t know this date first, you’ll probably know the details before I do.
