Children’s International Film Festival Begins

Yeah, yeah, maybe you missed the Chicago International Film Festival, maybe you hate movies with subtitles, or have never quite gotten past the Bergman chess scene or something…so what? Who doesn’t love a great kids’ movie?

Check out the Children’s International Film Festival, running all week. The schedule has the films broken down into age groups, but my experience has been that nearly all of them are so wonderfully unconventional (to American media-immersed kids) that their appeal is almost never limited strictly to those age groups (older kids almost always dig the movies, even if they’re aimed at younger kids).
