Were you given a new date?
If I tell what our meeting was about, I’ll give my identity away. Suffice it to say that nothing has been about payment of bills; procurement messes; copier information; web site changes (as of 11/19);etc. I have yet to have any book/electronic subscriptions orders expedited since the end of July. We have also been bombarded with the new “Branding” thrust which is so much new work, not in our job descriptions. In addition to the negating of all web pages, I have little hope that any meetings with the new regime will have any positive effect. Not to mention that noe of these changes have anything to do with students, who are primary mission. they seem to have forgotten all about them.
Sad 😦 but I feared that is the direction DO would go since it is filled with “leaders” the too often have little or no education experience…not to mention teaching experience. Bummer.
Does anyone happen to know when 2012 spring break is? Or where I might find that information?

Awesome. Thanks. It would never occur to me to look in our contract for Spring Break dates.
Per the contract it shows the Spring 2012 Spring Break to be scheduled for April 2-8, 2012. (p. 113)
With that said, I’d also like to point out that the contract states the Fall 2011 term ends December 17, 2011 (p. 112) which is not correct.
I don’t know if any dates in the contract are reliable anymore since these calendars were created by the old regime. I’m not sure who you’d ask now.
Thanks, Realist. Your post, though anonymous, was quite satisfying (other than drawing attention to the fact that nothing in the contract is reliable, but that’s not your fault).
