Tuesday Teaching Talk

Tuesday Teaching Talk is a regular feature which, as the name implies, is an opportunity to talk explicitly about teaching (and learning) in the practical and philosophical sense that happens on, you guessed it, Tuesday. It could be a question, an article or a tip to name a few options.

It’s a final week free-for-all!  Also, if you’re not busy between 2 and 3 today, stop into 1046 to find out who the new coordinator/vice coordinator are.

Now for the TTT.  Speak your mind.  Vent, gripe, rejoice!  This is freestyle and open.

  1. I didn’t make it to the meeting. Sorry.
Am I allowed to ask for the results of the election?
If so, then I guess I just asked.

Freestyle TTT – I’ve been meaning to ask PhiloDave and Matt U about audio feedback and how that had worked for them in the past. I may be moving in that direction next semester, so I ask those who’ve paved the way for some advice.

    Have a good week y’all.
Thanks for the TTT’s all semester mathissexy!

  2. Uh…whenever I have 5 minutes to spare, I know I’m missing a meeting somewhere…..Is it just me? Thus I had 5 minutes and I missed CAST…do we have results?

Sorry. My mind is a bit mushy after this semester.

  3. We do have results. I’m planning to send an e-mail out soon. There was actually a tie for top two (Gitte and I). After much deliberation, CAST will have co-coordinators (2 coordinators, if you will, sharing the responsibilities equally). I can say that I’m thrilled to have the change to serve alongside Gitte. She and I chatted for a good 20 minutes after the meeting and will meet again next week to hash out some details for the spring. Good things are on the way.
