Loop Players Present: One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest

The Loop Players are at it again, performing another play worth seeing. Think about printing out one of their flyers and post it in your classroom and office. Also, Elisabeth Heard, our dramaturg, has put together another excellent study guide for the play (PS: if you see any weird spacing or typos, they are there because I had to save it in an older format of Word; I tried to fix them, but I might have missed one or two; apologies–the original is pristine), just in case you’re thinking about including an extra credit opportunity in your class or something.

At the least, please try to support our students and colleagues in their artistic efforts. From your email:

The Loop Players at Harold Washington College will present One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest March 21-24 and March 28-31 in the Washington Room, room 103.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, written by Dale Wasserman based on the novel by Ken Kesey and directed by Kathryn Nash, is set in a 1950s mental asylum under the tight control of the icy Nurse Ratched, who keeps the patients in line with tranquilizers and the threat of electro-convulsive therapy. When Randle P. McMurphy, fighter, gambler, lover and self-professed psychopath bursts onto the ward, her absolute control begins to falter.
Admission:  $10, $5 for students and seniors. (Mature audiences only.)
Dates and curtain times:
7:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 21
2 p.m. Thursday, March 22
