From our Truman colleague, Rudra Dundzila:
We would like to invite you to join us for a regional working
conference on European Union studies, *Current Issues in EU
Governance,* to be held at the Chicago Loop Campus of DePaul
University on Saturday, April 9, 2011 from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm, with a
welcome dinner the preceding evening on April 8. We plan to bring
together a group of scholars and college instructors from Illinois and
the Midwest to talk about the European Union, taking advantage of the
scope and quality of research and teaching on EU topics among area
colleges and universities.
We expect a lively discussion on area content and teaching strategies
from different disciplines that teach the European Union. We are
inviting participants to present an example of their current research or
to participate in a *Strategies for Teaching the EU* Roundtable.
Whether you are presenting a research paper or participating in the
roundtable, we would be grateful for a copy of your syllabus for any
courses that you teach on the European Union, or any course with at
least 25 percent EU content, to be shared with the group.
If you or a colleague has only a nascent academic interest in the
European Union, we invite you to join us without being obliged to
present any materials. We can also consider participation by graduate
