If you were here in 2003 and 2004, you likely saw and remember the uncommonly cool presence of Pierre Tchetgen, who taught philosophy and humanities courses here. He left to pursue his muse–writing poetry, making music, doing community organizing around topics related to youth, education and the arts, and then ended up in California (Berkeley) to get a Masters in Web Design. He finished that program, published a book of poetry and hit the road, doing what he does.
He wrote me last week saying,
