Almost there…”Hold On”

Summer Music at The Lounge
The Girls and Boys of Summer will soon be gone (or will be taking a break) from HWC. 😦
This is the last week of summer school, right?
Per the recommendation of my wonderful partner, here ya go:
Monday Music
Monday Music is a regular feature whose goal is to provide you with some music to get you fired up for another week of doing the yeoperson’s work of educating the citizenry. Requests welcome!
Spring has sprung, people, and it’s infectious (like this song)…

If the part at 2:27 doesn’t get you completely fired up, you might need a defibrillator instead of an alarm clock.

Of course, I have no choice but to open with the ultimate Rock and Roll/Education song, Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2”. The video is 30 years old (!) from the movie, The Wall, (1979), and (fair warning) it is quite disturbing for a lot of reasons–from the holocaust imagery to the meat grinder and lots in between, but if it doesn’t disgust you, it is a visual feast, and ultimately, sympathetic look at education, even given all of its hostility toward schooling. Plus, it totally gets me fired up; I mean they burn it down…
