It’s FINALS WEEK, people–Week 16. Close it down and send them on their way. They don’t have to go home but they can’t stay here. Time for them to show us what they’ve got. It’s go time, people. Hit the gas.

Monday, 12/6: Sign the petition posted by your department mailboxes (see post above for more details), or, if you can’t find a petition, please print out a copy of the petition from the above post and hang it near your department’s mailboxes and then sign it.

Tuesday, 12/7: There will be a shortish, end of semester Faculty Council Meeting (3:30pm, rm 1046) to run through a few pressing issues (Presidential election, Grade petition, Local Task Force Support Teams, Credentials Controversy, etc.). Also, Short Suite Performances (5pm, rm 103). Go and see your students.

Wednesday, 12/8: Alberto Aguilar’s “A Personal Dinner Invitation” Lecture (6pm, rm 103). Be sure to check out the exhibition of faculty work up on the 11th floor in the President’s Gallery, too, which opens today (through January 14th). Also, I will be picking up the petitions today in the late afternoon. Please make sure you have signed it (and told others about it, too, so that if they support the idea, they can sign on as well).
