The 2011 Horizon Report is Out

And according to an article in The Chronicle about it:

Mobile devices are one year away from transforming education. For the third straight year.

I love that lede. What a great sentence.

Anyway, the report–about technology trends in education–is available here, and contrary to the snarkiness of the above, it really is a reliably interesting look at educational technology trends and usage.

  1. A little off-topic, but do we have an institutional subscription to the Chronicle?

    In the past, I’ve had a personal subscription but with all the other memberships I have, I needed to cancel it.

    Just thought I’d check…

    • I don’t think so. I don’t have one either, though I used to.

      I have found that if you sign up for their weekly notifications, though, you can get to content that is otherwise “premium” (for subscribers only) through the links in the email. So it’s like having a subscription without paying the money! It doesn’t always work, but most of the time it does…
