Tired of the old, “Tell us something about yourself” spin around the room while taking first day attendance? Want to try to get students to reveal a little something more about themselves?
Be gentle, though…remember that they’re nervous, too!

Thank you PhiloDave. I’d like to answer question #2:
2. Can you think of a recent problem in which old solutions wouldn’t work?
Registration.
I’d also like to answer #8:
8. Explain a database in three sentences to your 8-year-old nephew.
A database is a collection of text and/or numbers. It’s like your piggy bank with all those coins. How it is used depends on the keepers and manipulators of the data and in my case, it is used by district to manipulate folks into believing we have unsuccessful students.
Oh, snap…I did not see that one coming.
